When you see thousands of people walking on the road for 100s of miles with children in lap and luggage on their shoulders in the middle of night, naturally it jolts your soul. We felt as if there is a exodus and people are running for their life, this happened on night of March 26th 2020, when the complete lockdown was clamped in India without any forewarning or planning or giving any time to the masses. We happen to go for a urgent medical call and on the way back we saw people walking on M.G. Road (NH-48) towards Delhi. Stopping there, we talked to them, that, why they are walking like this. They informed, that ,they are walking towards railway station/ bus stand to reach their home town. Some of them had already walked more than 50-60 miles and it was still another 20-300 miles to go, even then it was not certain, that, they will get any means of transportation from thereon.... and on top of that, these people didn't have any food or water with them because they left their jhuggis
